Amanda Green Alexander, Esq
Amanda Green Alexander, a native of Kokomo, Mississippi, is a member of both the Mississippi Bar and District of Columbia Bar. She represents both self-insured employers and insurance companies in the areas of worker’s compensation, labor and employment law. Additionally, she practices in the areas of family law, including wills & estates. Maintaining her commitment to the community, she also serves as Adjunct Professor at Jackson State University in the Department of Health Policy and Management.
She has served as Deputy City Attorney for the City of Jackson and Judicial Law Clerk for Chief Judge Leslie King for the State of Mississippi Court of Appeals. During Election Year 2004, she served as Election Protection Coordinator for the Mississippi Center for Justice. In 1996, she served as Legislative Assistant Intern for the United States House of Representatives in the office of Congressman Bennie G. Thompson. She has served as Judicial Intern with the Mississippi Supreme Court. She has worked as a law clerk with Morris, Sakalarios and Blackwell firm in Hattiesburg, Mississippi and the United States Attorney General Office in Jackson, Mississippi. She has worked as an assistant to the Lawyers and Judges Assistance Program at the Mississippi Bar Center and graduate assistant at Jackson State University.
Attorney Alexander and her daughter, Amari Elizabeth are members of New Hope Baptist Church in Jackson. She is the daughter of the late Reverend Arthur Green and Debora P. Green of Kokomo, Mississippi. |
